Well, it seems the “Madagascar” press-kit had the wrong info. Jessica confirmed herself that Mama won’t be released until next year.
We’re still waiting for new pictures… I hope they can release something for us, soon.
Check this pretty picture of Jessica while doing the Gia voice over: Posters and promotional stills of Madagascar 3 was also added to the gallery. Enjoy!
Also on board the train are two others circus stars, Stefano, an Italian sea lion and Gia, an exotic Italian Jaguar.
Gia, a bit wary of the Zoosters at first, is won over when Alex and the gang convince them that they, too, are “circus.”
Academy Award-nominated actress Jessica Chastain brings Gia to life: “I liked playing Gia because she has a very big heart but at the same time she’s also fiercely protective of her circus family.”
She adds, “Working in animation has been a completely new experience for me. There’s something so freeing about being in front of a microphone and thinking, ‘I’m playing an Italian jaguar.’ Where in my life would I ever transform enough to play an Italian jaguar?”
According to “Madagascar” press-kit, we already have a release date for Guillermo Del Toro-produced horror films “Mama”: October 03, 2012. It’s been great to hear anything official from it, since we only have a single picture of Jessica on set, and no other news has been released since then. On the movie, Jessica portrays one half of a couple that set out to raise their two young nieces who have lived in the woods by themselves for five years. She co-star the movie with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones).

The other fresh character with an entirely different sort of appeal is Gia, a slinky Italian jaguar who enters the picture as part of a traveling circus the American gang joins as a cover for their journey through Europe. Gia, purringly voiced by Jessica Chastain, is a natural, and inherently provocative, romantic foil for the bashful Alex, and is rendered very appealingly in the gentle coloration of her coat and her physical manner. And we’re not done yet. Over 200 additional HQ pictures has been added to the gallery. Huge thanks, once again, to Claudia and Nicole for some of this pictures.
